Most of my shows I perform solo. Just me and my 12-string guitar in close contact with my audience. This allows me so much more freedom to become the songs that I sing with passion, conviction and emotion. I sing from my heart and my mouth is only used to shape the vowels and consonants of the words. The expression on my face is tied to the emotions of the words in varying degrees and really colors the tone of the story that I am intending to bring to Life. I love it when I am on stage and look out at my audience to see all eyes focused at me. I know then that they are open to what I am sharing and their applause really fuels my energy and strengthens or connection. On stage I play a 1989 Ovation Elite 12 String, which was custom, built for me by Ovation. I also play a BreedLove 12 String that I Love the tonality of and I use TC Helicons Harmonizer and Voice Live boxes for my background harmonies. The TC Boxes are great! I plug my microphone and guitar into the Box and I can get various harmonies that follow the chord from guitar. I other words, If I sing and hold one note but play different chords, the backing vocals will follow the chords changes. Thanks TC!!!
